If you’re going to be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort this holiday season – or even if you’ll just be in the Orlando area, be sure to carve out some time in your busy itinerary to make your way over to Disney Springs at night. This year, you can discover Christmas around every corner, as you come across a collection of elaborately decorated Disney Christmas trees spread throughout the neighborhoods of Disney Springs.

The activity is free to enjoy while exploring all the other holiday fun Disney Springs has to offer. In the past, this experience has been organized into a one-way traffic, trail sort of experience, and called the “Christmas Tree Trail” respectively. This year the trees will be spread throughout Disney Springs to more easily facilitate social distancing and will be called the Christmas Tree Stroll. Face Masks will continue to be required in outdoor areas around Disney Springs for the foreseeable future.

Additionally, Disney Springs guests will experience the wondrous magic of a light snowfall in the evenings. What a fun surprise that would be for little ones or even for folks visiting who aren’t accustomed to a “white Christmas.” The holiday season at the Walt Disney World Resort officially began November 6th. The only thing that beats the magic of Christmas is the magic of Disney during Christmas time.

Things may look a little different in 2020, but Walt Disney World and Disney Springs will be just as joyful as it has ever been during the winter months. Aside from the Christmas Tree Stroll and artificial snowfall, restaurants at Disney Springs will be celebrating with their own décor as well as specialty food items here and there. In fact, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar will become Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar featuring specialty drinks and menu items. This experience debuts on November 29th this year.

Have you visited the Walt Disney World Resort during the holidays? What was your favorite thing about celebrating there?

Candice was raised in east Tennessee. While in college, her best friend dragged her to a Walt Disney World College Program recruiting session at the University of Tennessee and the rest is Disney history. In the Fall of 1999, Candice became a quick service food hostess for Sunset Ranch Market and Fantasmic at Disney-MGM Studios – or what is now known as Disney’s Hollywood Studios. While soaking up her time as a cast member, she met Ryan, a neighbor and a fellow college programmer who worked as a custodial host at Epcot. Four years later, Candice moved to the Midwest and married that boy from across the hall. They now live in Greenwood, Indiana with their two little boys. The Disney-loving foursome took their first family trip to The Happiest Place on Earth in 2013 and Candice is eagerly planning their return. Candice also works full-time at a community mental health center and enjoys taking photographs and blogging at Mommy in the Midwest.
